NARRATIVE SUMMARY All flight operations were flown in support of the following Operations and Units; Victory Dragon XVIII, 1st MarDiv., MAG-16 and HMM-364 HMM-364 flew 3,861 sorties for 1,042.9 hours, lifting 178.3 tons of cargo, 7,245 troops/passengers and expended 8,360 rounds of .50 caliber, 4,100 rounds of 7.62MM, and 540 rounds of 5.56MM ordnance. Two Hundred and thirty eight MEDEVAC missions carried 186 emergency, 204 priority and 316 routine evac- uees. The average daily aircraft and aircrew availability was 13 and 11.5 respec- tively. 8 March 1970 - First Lieutenant J. DEVLIN sustained
a fatal neck wound while flying a resupply mission for the 7th Marines.
Casualties Inflicted on the Enemy HMM-364 was responsible for 4 enemy kills an 5 probable enemy kills. Intelligence The squadron Intelligence Section received and recorded intelligence informa- tion on a daily basis for adjacent and higher headquarters through pilot de- briefs, spot reports and intelligence documents. During this period there were 35 enemy fire incidents directed against squadron aircraft resulting in 5 aircraft being hit with hostile fire. The Squadron area received negative incoming fire. A narrative summary of section activities is as follows: attended briefings at higher headquarters, conducted liaison with adjacent units, briefed and debrief- ed pilots, and routed messages and documents of intelligence value to approp- riate sections and personnel.
